The primary purpose of this Part 17 revision is to update and improve the regulations in conformance with the national framework of the U.S. Department of Transportation and U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and with the Suggested State Regulations for the Control of Radiation (SSRCR) of the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors, Inc.
